TWIST & SHOUT - Full of the raw energy, humour and an undeniable charisma that catapulted the BEATLES from Liverpool's Cavern Club to world stages, Twist and Shout is a Vancouver-based Beatles tribute band that will transport you back to a time when Beatlemania dominated a generation. Eric, as Lennon, is at his raunchiest when belting out epic songs like Twist and Shout. Jody, as McCartney, rocks out with extraordinary bass playing on songs like Paperback Writer, while Rocky delivers a steady Ringo backbeat and Elliot skillfully hammers the three combined solos on The End. Twist and Shout will fill your evening with legendary Fab Four hits from the first U.S. invasion through to the Abbey Road era. http://www.twistandshouttribute.com
The CAPITALS - Sugar coated power pop slammed into a wall of guitar - that's The Capitals. Charged with memorable guitar riffs and eloquent harmonies, The Capitals are one of the most exciting new rock and roll bands to emerge from Vancouver. Passonate live shows and a stunning debut album have quickly garnered the group praise from both press and radio and they have amassed a large following of their own. Produced by Kevin Kane (ex-Grapes of Wrath) and mixed by Steven Drake (Odds, Tragically Hip, 5440), The Capitals new album Broadcast One is bound to ensure The Capitals a lasting place in the ever evolving music industry. http://www.myspace.com/capitals
EMPIRE ALLEY - Within months of forming, rehearsing and producing a four track self-produced demo in their basement studio, the band entered the Factory Studios competition, and found themselves winners the best band in the competition. That same month the band's single, "Orange Revolution" from their self-recorded demo, was played on Indie Night on 99.3 The Fox. Their energized indie rock glimmers with flashes of Bloc Party, Stars, and Metric, but it is their anthemic melodies, up-beat grooves, and remarkable musicianship that differentiate the band from their contemporaries. Armed with a unique combination of pop-rock, 80s punk, and classical compositions, Empire Alley imparts pure emotion and raw energy. http://www.myspace.com/empirealley
DANNY ECHO - As a boy, Danny Echo longed to be in front of an audience playing his tennis racquet. He later discovered an electric guitar, amplifier and band are more effective at getting people's attention. After touring the UK with their previous band The Ryecatchers, Dan and Mark decided not only to keep the fire burning but to stoke it with the energy and excitement that all fans of great rock and roll embrace. Their British-inspired melodic rock is informed by a wide range of music including the Rolling Stones, Beck, Dandy Warhols, The Beatles, Radiohead and The Kinks. http://www.myspace.com/dannyecho
