Come all speakers of slam style and substance.
The evening starts with an open mic (5 min. per speaker) followed by this weeks dynamite feature performer strong cottonwoods.
strong cottonwoods step'd onto the spoken word scene to become a member of victoria's inaugural poetry slam team, with whom he competed @ the 2005 Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Vancouver. since then he and some fellow teammates have taken their love of beatboxing + spoken word on tour across canada as the outspoken wordsmiths - relying on randomness, community & self-sustainability. they perform'd countless shows and gave numerous workshops from victoria to halifax. this will be strong cottonwoods' 1st performance since returning home to victoria after nearly 10 months on the road.
