Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival Day 2 sees the return of some of the most beloved bands in the Festival’s history. One of Colombia’s most successful bands, SKAMPIDA quickly found a home here on the west coast when they first arrived nearly 14 years ago. Their untouchable mix of Colombian reggae, hip-hop, punk, champeta and cumbia, combined with their unmatchable on-stage energy has made them a must-see act whenever they come around…and it’s been awhile! Skampida will be making their first appearance in 7 years and their first time on our main stage at Ship Point! You are not going to want to miss Skampida’s triumphant return!
Storming out of L.A., LA POBRESKA is returning to the festival for the first time in 12 years! La Pobreska’s incendiary mix of hardcore punk and 3rd wave ska is a potent mix that is guaranteed to get you jumpin’ and skankin’ within minutes. Never ones to shy away from what they believe in, the bands high energy tracks are laced with socially conscious lyrics that tackles government corruption and society’s ills. What would our 25th Anniversary be without at least one reunion of a beloved band from festivals past? With that in mind, we are beyond stoked to welcome back one of the island’s rowdiest group of rabble-rousers, THE KILTLIFTERS. They’ll be resurrecting their ska-loving ways for the first time in nearly 15 years. Opening things up and making their festival debut is BABY BOY & THE EARTHLY DELIGHTS, who are bringing new energy into the west coast reggae scene. With melodic horns, spacey keys, wailing guitar solos and a rocksteady groove to bring it all together, BB&TED might just end up being one of your new favourite bands.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
