Event Description
David's final show of the year will be one to remember, as David welcomes his offspring, acclaimed singer-songwriter-guitarist Jean-Paul Vest, from New York, backed by Damian Graham, Ryan Tandy, and Tom Bowler.
David, of course, is a legendary blues piano player with six Maple Blues Awards. The Washington Post called him "one of the secret rock stars of the Sixties."
Jean-Paul is the main force behind indie band Last Charge of the Light Horse. Here's a sample of what critics have said about Jean-Paul's music:
"Vest crafts lyrics of such penetrating intelligence that the songs end up feeling like rock and roll poetry in the best and truest sense."
"Vest writes songs that aren't predictable ... and the guy's voice is just ... fantastic."
"Best Independent Album of the year. Vest is a breathtakingly talented songwriter."
"Remember when pop was experimental? Remember when it was beautiful, when it spoke to you, moved you?"
Don't miss out on the last opportunity to see David Vest in 2023 (he'll be back at Hermann's on January 20).
