GET BOOKED! HOW TO GET A BOOKING AGENT
Ever wonder what a booking agent does for their artists? How do you get one? Getting a booking agent can be a huge step for bands looking to make that next step. You could go from opening a show in front of 5 people for a handful of drink tickets (hot tip: don't do those shows!) to landing an opening slot for legions of Pearl Jam fans (okay, an extreme example, but you never know). In addition to opening for Pearl Jam, an agent can get you on all the cool festivals, help book your own headliner tours with the top promoters and venues, and enable you to focus on songwriting and being the artist you are! Come chat with The Feldman Agency's Stefanie Purificati, who will share her insights on what it takes for a band to attract a booking agent.

STEFANIE PURIFICATI (The Feldman Agency):
Stefanie is an agent and music industry veteran who got her start as the in-house talent buyer at the Drake Hotel. She began her career as an agent in 2010 and has just recently joined The Feldman Agency (who reps bands like Feist, Orville Peck, Shania Twain, The Beaches). A highly active member of the community, Stefanie has sat on the Board of Directors for the Country Music Association of Ontario, worked for the Polaris Music Prize for a decade, and is a frequent panelist at conferences like Canadian Music Week, Halifax Pop Explosion, Line Check (Milan, Italy), Canadian Country Music Week and many more.
MEGAN HAMILTON (moderator):
Megan is a speaking, visibility and confidence coach for women and nonbinary folks. She used her classical theatre training and 25+ years of performance experience to create a step by step speaking system that not only allows you to deliver incredible speeches and presentations, but also provides you with a framework to have difficult conversations, build your confidence and increase your visibility. She uses shadow work to help you tune in to your intuition and discover the root of what contributes to fear. Aside from her 1:1 and group cohorts, she's the Speaker Advisor at the TEDx in Kingston, ON, and an Executive Coach at Queen's University. She's also a musician, has recorded 5 albums of original music and has toured across Canada from Newfoundland to BC, as well as into the US. Learn how to work with Megan at www.ubuskills.com
