Event Description
Come laugh yourself silly at “Stand Up Downstairs”, the first comedy show at Wicket Hall. We’ll have The Zone’s host: Jason Lamb, Canada’s Got Talent star: Curran Dobbs, Local Victoria Legend: Patricia Ellen, and headlining from Laugh Out Loud: Myles Anderson. Tickets are $20, doors are at 6:30pm. Be sure to get there on time to snag a seat, grab a drink, and settle in before your sides are in stitches!!
Emcee: “Jason Lamb has been doing stand-up since the turn of the century. He co-hosts “The Morning Show” on 91.3 THE ZONE out of downtown Victoria.”
Opener: One of Victoria’s most beloved comedians Curran Dobbs is featured in the current season of the popular television programme ‘Canada’s Got Talent’.
Middle: “Patricia Ellen is a popular Victoria comic whose act often focuses on her rural upbringing, family dynamics, and the ongoing dispute with her sexuality”
Headliner: To watch Myles Anderson’s comedy is to see a man unravel and then re-ravel himself onstage. Combining traditional jokes with birdlike movements, Myles always creates a unique and hilarious performance. Myles was a finalist in the 2017 Seattle International Comedy Competition and can be heard on Laugh Out Loud and The Debaters on CBC Radio. In May, 2023, Myles will be recording a televised set at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.
