Event Description
The timeless music of Baroque master J.S. Bach (1685-1750) is so fundamental that it has inspired and been appropriated by musicians as diverse as Lady Gaga, The Beach Boys and The Beatles, to Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, among others.
In a career spanning more than five decades, and a discography that ranks among the largest of any Canadian pianist in history, internationally renowned concert pianist Robert Silverman pulls up the bench to the prestigious Grotrian-Steinweg piano at The ACT, an instrument Silverman himself once owned, to perform with acclaimed violinist David Gillham the music that is the foundation of his musical inspiration.
