Event Description
“Samara Joy is a self-possessed, deeply emotive vocalist, with power that usually takes a lot of living to master.”

— All About Jazz
With a voice as smooth as velvet, Samara Joy, Winner of the 2019 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and recently named #1 New Artist by DownBeat, has already performed in many of the great jazz venues in NYC, and has worked with jazz greats such as Christian McBride, Emmet Cohen, Jon Faddis, and Cyrus Chestnut. Her eponymously titled debut album released in July 2021, and now she looks forward to sharing her passionate love for jazz as a uniting force.
Drummer Dan Brubeck and bassist, trombonist, and composer Chris Brubeck are the foundation of the Brubeck Brothers Quartet. With guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb, the Quartet’s style is rooted in “straight-ahead” jazz, and their concerts also naturally integrate the influences of funk, blues and world music. The group’s creativity can be heard in their uncompromising music, which reflects their dedication to melody, culture, and the spontaneous spirit of jazz.
