In addition to three nights of world-class music, Garden City Grooves VIII is excited to offer a free, all ages workshop featuring Northwest hip hop legend Gabriel Teodros on Saturday, February 26th from 3:30pm - 4:30pm at White Eagle Hall. Proof of full vaccination required for entry. This workshop is available on a first come/first serve basis. Check out this description to understand what the workshop has in store...
Hip-hop is a music and a culture created specifically to bring people together โ to both entertain and inform the masses. It is medicine that helps maintain life and community. Though a lot of the hip-hop that has found its way to the mainstream in 2022 may not reflect the values that birthed the music, hip-hop is more vital than ever, both as a music and culture and as a tool for the liberation of marginalized peoples around the globe.
Few MCs in the Pacific Northwest have kept the flame of Real Hip-Hop burning as bright and healthily as GABRIEL TEODROS. Garden City Grooves VIII will be hosting a FREE workshop where the legendary Seattle MC will be imparting his deep hip-hop knowledge and wisdom as he discusses the history of hip-hop, radio and what it means to be an independent musician in today's climate. A man of the people, Teodros will also be fielding questions from attendees in a Q&A session during the workshop. Donโt miss your opportunity to learn some things from one of the most important hip-hop voices on the west coast!
Remember to grab tickets to Gabriel Teodros' Garden City Grooves Black History Month Celebration show with The Soul Rebels and DJ Abel which takes place on Sunday, February 27th at White Eagle Hall. Doors: 7:30pm Tickets still available here ๐ https://bit.ly/3re1nxS
