Taking a cue from the great sentimental ladies of song popular on the radio during WW2, charismatic jazz vocalist Angela Verbrugge, dives in to the swing music of the 1940s as a way of commemorating Remembrance Day. You'll hear songs by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Vera Lynn, Frank Sinatra, and the great sentimental ladies of song from big band era... We'll Meet Again, Bluebirds Over the White Cliffs of Dover, Boogie Boogie Bugle Boy, and many more. Supported by your donation, PWYC sliding scale so bring cash for the tip basket.
Great deals on wings and beers, and a wonderful chance to re-connect with friends and hear some heart-warming lyrics of love and longing, and playful distraction, that was the popular music that helped a generation through the dark days of the Second World War.
