Early Music Vancouver presents: Clair-Obscur: Constantinople, A Filetta

Event Description

Between sea and mountains, between modes and polyphony — Clair-Obscur is born of the desire for deeper dialogue on the part both of the musicians of Constantinople, with refined musical and poetic traditions of Persia, and the singers of A Filetta, the preeminent ensemble of Corsican polyphony.

Together, they have created a rich, poetic musical suite, mixing polyphonies created by the well-versed singers of A Filetta with songs and tunes composed and arranged by Constantinople’s Kiya Tabassian.

This rare combination of phenomenal European talent makes its debut at The ACT this December and is not to be missed.
