Rotten Apple Ruckus (Victoria, BC)
https://rottenappleruckus.bandcamp.com/
If you have dirty eardrums, the Rotten Apple Ruckus will use their bucket-bass and washboard to scrub them clean with a wash of sounds from the 20’s-40’s. A tumultuous smattering of steel guitar, banjo, trumpet, banjolele will toss your toes into a boogie and a frolic. Get your jug, skiffle, blues, spasm, and ragtime pants on!

Lonesome Larry's One Man String Band (Victoria, BC)
Larry Whittaker has been playing banjo and guitar, and singing old-time tunes for many years. During the late nineties to 2006, Larry formed bluegrass and old-time bands, including hosting weekly jam gigs in Montreal.

His love of old time music and the lonesome banjo influences came from Roscoe Holcomb, Doc Boggs and Virgil Anderson; most noted are the stylings of Elizabeth Cotton and Pete Seeger. Larry plays a two-finger thumb lead style, and clawhammer style on a fretless banjo.
