A portion of revenue will be donated to a mental health community organization: Citizens' Counselling Centre.

There will be pleasure nooks at the event, including gluten free/vegan baked goods.

At PLUSH there is zero tolerance for any type of racist, sexist, ableist, fatphobic, transphobic or homophobic behaviour. MMMmmmk?! If you feel uncomfortable at any time, please take care of yourself and/or find one of our community support folks to help out.

Event is done at 2:00 am, please come early to get this dance party started! This is a 19+ event, two pieces of ID will be required. No smoking within 7 meters of the Copper Owl entrance. Washrooms will be gender inclusive for the event.

There are couches, chairs and tables for folks who need to rest their bodies and minds around the venue space.
Copper Owl accepts cash, Visa or Mastercard only (ATM onsite).

The Copper Owl is on the second storey of a building up a rather steep flight of stairs. There is a continuous handrail up the stairwell and our workers/organizers are available to provide assistance as directed.

The Copper Owl is a low-light environment with mostly red lighting, hazards are not well-lit and the lighting is not even throughout the venue.

***ᗯᕼ𝗬 ᑭᒪᑌᔕᕼ?***

PLUSH was created to highlight and support people who don’t often get recognized in the music industry and many cis-gendered spaces for being their lovely selves. This includes women-identifed folk, non-binary/genderdiverse peeps, people of colour and the LGBTQ2SIA+ community.

𝗣𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗛 is the newly rebranded series of events created by co-host, Tera Greene. It is the rebirth of the vibes that came from her 3 volume series, Bass Hive - Ladies Night. Bass Hive - Ladies Night Vol 1 was Friday, April 27 and Vol. 2 was on Nov 9, 2018. They were nights of housey-bassy vibes. These events were such a success, round 3 was March 30, 2019 with a housey-bassey-tribal night!

While those events will never happen again under the name, Bass Hive - Ladies Night, nor even Ladies Night, we want to acknowledge all of the roster of DJs who played and supported the cause from day one. We also thank everyone who participated in the events by volunteering, purchasing tickets for friends and just showing up to create a great atmosphere. Thank you.

Back with a fresh new name, and a shift in clarity of focus, PLUSH is all about making sure spaces are created 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘶𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥.

No hype, no drama, just good music, good people and good vibes. No one is headlining... we are just coming together for an old' fashioned house gathering. It’s time to shed the negativity of the year and celebrate a rich harvest of pleasure, so that we can all head in to 2020 with love and light.

A: From Vol 3, "The intention behind this event is to bring our community together to support female DJs in the Bass Hive brand. Doesn't mean it's only women-identified only able to come into the space. This is definitely a collective, community, we appreciate our male-identified friends who post for us, support the female djs.

It's a ladies night because we are promoting empowered female-identified DJs. Empowered ladies being featured, plus a nod to a song called "Ladies Night" from back in the day.

Please be respectful of the space you are in. Everyone is welcome. We are in the space together. Be respectful of who is and who isn't a "lady". We all have perceptions of ourselves. This is a safer-space, queer-friendly. Let's be there for the Bass. Bassey-Housey-Tribal night of music."
