Watching loudly, light of warm memories gently meshing lace of mind. Follow the direction of flattering butterfly to the temple of broken flowers. Crystal air whispers: is it really left? Like bows and arrows weaving when the land is breathing. Ocean is blood on sunset. The form of our cells. Reminder of joyful place. Listen to the road.
Exhibition created during BMK Residency, 2019.
Originally from The Czech Republic, Martina currently lives and works in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Her work is a multidisciplinary investigation of material as theme and space exploring inner and outer dimensions. Based on memories, nature, and environment, often engaging a human element, materials have story allowing the sculpture reality to perform through a language of associations and physical touch.
