FRASE
https://soundcloud.com/frase-w
FRASE's sound is dynamic, up-beat and danceable while remaining intimate and super soulful. By blending the classic sounds of Soul, Dub and Indie Rock with the modern dance floor flavours of House and Bass music, FRASE pulls from the retro while pushing to the future. He is a singer, producer, and multi-instrumental musician who delivers a powerful Live set, adding to the performance is FRASE's partner Embody MVMT. She takes to the stage wielding an arsenal of epic dance moves, blending her contemporary training with years of house,
b-girling, popping and hip hop styles to whip the dance floor into a furry of movement.
Illvis Freshly
Hailing from Victoria, BC, Illvis Freshly blends the classic Hip Hop
sound of the 90s with their own funky, fresh, original style. With high energy performances and bass heavy flavour, Illvis Freshly is bringing the funk back to the west coast hip hop / electronic scene.
BOUSADA
https://spoti.fi/2MIOqWw
BOUSADA is a one-of-a-kind live electronic music collective based out of Victoria, BC. Combining elements of hip hop, jazz, RnB and electronica, the live show is high-energy, high vibe and guaranteed to get people dancing. Fronted by the masterful looper Graeme Bousada (Vox/keys), the show is built upon his live loops which he builds on the fly with a midi keyboard and a drum pad. Unlike most producers, his use of pre-recorded tracks is incredibly sparse, preferring the spontaneity and challenge of building all of the music from the ground up. A longtime singer-songwriter and incredible showman, his thoughtful lyrics and raw enthusiasm are infectious and create a vibe that totally enraptures audiences. Transitioning smoothly from song to song, Graeme performs sets of all original music as if he were a DJ, perfectly walking the line between the two musical worlds.
Although BOUSADA was started as a solo endeavor, Graeme soon teamed up with Mikey Viperteeth (saxophone/MC), a trained jazz musician and swaglord, to push the project to the next-level. The dynamic between Viperteeth and BOUSADA is impressive, combining Graeme’s masterful live looping with Viperteeth’s skillful playing and MCing. Although fully capable of rocking the party themselves, the duo regularly invite other musicians to sit in with them, meaning BOUSADA can swell from a duo to a megalithic dance party machine of 10 members at times. The rotating cast of friends and musicians that join them are affectionately known as The Bousada Family, a musical collective and group of friends that feature many of Victoria’s top musicians. As a result, BOUSADA’s shows are constantly evolving, incredibly dynamic and always vibing.
The project has quickly made waves around BC, being featured at Shambhala, Rifflandia, Tall Tree, Victoria Ska Reggae Festival and ArtsWells over the past two years of performing. Opening for the likes of Stickybuds, DubFX, Katchafire, Delhi 2 Dublin and Moontricks, they have built a cult following of devoted dancers and high-vibing party people that know how to get down! Come on down and see for yourself!
