Justin Time recording artist Jerry Granelli is widely hailed all across the nation as one of Canada’s best musicians. Leaving America to live in Halifax in the mid 80s, his exceptional six-decade career has seen him play drums for such superstars as Charlie Haden, Mose Allison, and Vince Guaraldi of A Charlie Brown Christmas. His recorded output is equally impressive. Renowned as a jazz drummer, the 78-year-old Granelli returned to the heartland of the blues with his newest CD, Dance Hall, which has earthy and soulful versions of classics by the likes of Fats Domino, Dinah Washington, and Louis Jordan. He performs with five-time Grammy nominee Robben Ford guitar, known as a significant blues artist and being a member of the jazz fusion bands, The L.A. Express and The Yellowjackets. Also joining them is Bob Lanzetti guitar, founding member of three time Grammy Award-Winning jazz/funk collective Snarky Puppy. The band also features J. Anthony Granelli bass/horn, as well as a four-piece horn section.
