Jaya Bremer (of Jaya Bremer Quintet and Wise Child)
http://www.jayabremer.com/
Jaya has been singing her heart out since before she had front teeth and that's no exaggeration. Enchanted by female power houses from Ella Fitzgerald to Winona Judd, her musical influences cross quite a spectrum.
She writes about growing up on the west coast, time spent on the ocean, in the forest, her travels and the careful navigation of the heart. Her songs are very natural, heartfelt and sound like they've been ripped right out of Greenwich Village NYC in the 1960s
with
The Tin Sea
http://www.thetinsea.com/#thetinsea
Indie folk rock group based out of our lovely city of Victoria BC and Vancouver will be joining the bill, featuring Roger Dean Young and a handful of other talented local musicians!
Their songs have a down-south alternative country vibe to them, reminiscent of artists from the 70s through to modern day!
and
Honey Rose
https://honeyrose.bandcamp.com/
Honey Rose is Peter Gardner of critically acclaimed rock band, Hawk and Steel and folk singer-songwriter Sydney Batters. Peter and Sydney joined forces in early 2014 with the intention to try something different. They will be releasing their brand new album at this show!
Their latest EP is a collection of songs written by several of the historical Country and Folk artists we have all known to grow and love, but reimagined by two fans. An ode to the past and to the roots of a subconscious influence inherit in all genres today.
