Shari Ulrich (Juno award winner, CFMA Songwriter of the Year, and veteran of The Pied Pumkin, The Hometown Band, UHF, BTU and The High Bar Gang) performs with her daughter Julia Graff (on violin, mandolin, guitar & vocals) and fellow High Bar Gang member Kirby Barber (on bass, guitar and vocals). The gorgeous three part female harmonies alone are worth the price of admission!
Shari is thrilled to do a concert with her favourite trio of musicians in the beautiful Oak Bay United Church. Featuring a variety of her original songs from 1976 to new unreleased songs, Shari will be performing on piano, guitar, mandolin & violin with her signature spontaneity, warmth and sense of humour and a few new tricks up her sleeve!
Originally a California girl, Shari's 40 year career from Pied Pumkin (a favourite in the Kootenays), through The Hometown Band, and on as a solo artist and multi-instrumentalist has lead to 23 albums including her collaboration with UHF Bill Henderson and Roy Forbes in (UHF), Barney Bentall & Tom Taylor (BTU), and The High Bar Gang, a 7 piece bluegrass band with Barney Bentall & Colin Nairne. Her work has garnered 2 Juno awards, an induction into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame, and a 2014 CFMA for English Songwriter of the Year.
