Xchanges is pleased to present "Microfauna" by Trace Nelson. The skills involved in domestic craft are applied to ideas and concepts of contemporary art to explore the Modernist approach that prioritizes autonomy while devaluing skill. The installation of movable textile sculptures incorporates mobile webcams, video and murals. The show will culminate in a closing event with live performers animating the wearable sculptures to create a live-action video. Opening Reception: Friday Feb 3, 7-9pm. Artist talk and performance: Saturday Feb 18, 3-5pm
