Such a nice surprise phonecall came this morning. Our friend and well-loved trumpet player Donnie Clark plans to join CanUS at Hermann's on Nov. 6th (3-6 pm) . What a treat to see this Vancouver artist who's career was spent in the Vancouver CBC and jazz world during those years when musicians were part of almost every show and The Lance Harrison Dixieland Band in which Donnie played was first call for almost any event including the PNE for so many years. He travelled the world with The New Orleans Connection as well as doing jazz festivals with Chicago Six and brings a lifetime of experience and love of traditional jazz to share with us at Hermann's. Also guesting will be our own great Al Pease and the two of them have a mutual admiration society going so it should be great to see them united again.
