Event Description

Star Tryptic is harpist Elisa Thorn (Vancouver), guitarist David Riddel (Toronto) and vocalist Laura Swankey (Toronto). There three like-minded musicians present sweet, heart-felt melodies over diverse sound worlds. Bridging improvising, interpreting and composition, they use evocative extended techniques and electronic effects, while always trying to capture and communicate beauty in raw human expression. They draw repertoire from the American Songbook, Americana folk music and their own compositions.

Star Tryptic will be touring throughout Vancouver and the Gulf Islands this August, 2016
