Event Description
Fall is here again and it’s time to break bread and celebrate the harvest with friends and neighbours. The fifth annual Fall Fairfield: Harvest Fete will be held on Saturday September 26th in Porter Park (between Fairfield and Thurlow) from 1:00-5:00pm. This free neighbourhood festival is the place to be - with live music, food vendors, circus performers, dancers, old fashioned games, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! We’ll be bringing back some favourites this year, such as the fabulous Balkan-inspired band Bucan Bucan, the Masala Band, harvest hat making, art activities, and folk dancing. Stay tuned for some new surprises too! This is a truly local event, hosted by the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association to thank the people in the neighbourhood for all they do to make this a great place to live. Bring your wackiest garden veggies for the harvest table, change for the donation boxes, and bring a friend!
To volunteer, or if you’re an artist, theatre group, gardener, or someone in the neighbourhood with something you’d like to share at Fall Fairfield, get in touch: development@fairfieldcommunity or 250-382-4604. See fairfieldcommunity.ca for more details and we’ll see you on September 26th!
