Event Description
The Victoria Fringe Festival and Andrew Wade present:
The Most Honest Man In The World
Written and performed by Andrew Wade
A life-long love story about the pursuit of honesty over all happiness. Andrew Wade builds a working lie detector onstage and straps himself in.
“A polygraph examination can only determine if the subject is being deceptive or if they honestly believe that what they are saying is true.”
- from 'Use of Polygraph in Criminal Investigations', Vancouver Police Department.
Using stories, music, apps, and tap shoes, Wade looks at old relationships and insecurities as he tries to learn how to honestly let go.
"A brave experiment in both theatre and life. Four Stars!" - Saskatoon StarPhoenix
“Engaging, emotional, and oftentimes very funny.” - Mooney on Theatre (Toronto)
“This is a story about how to figure out the kind of truth that only art can help us understand, the kind we have to search within ourselves to figure out... it's a wonderful, heartbreaking journey to go on with him.” - myentertainmentworld.ca
Andrew Wade is an award-winning actor and playwright from Richmond, BC. He is also a graduate from the University of Victoria (BFA: Acting, BA: Writing) and the National Voice Intensive, and was selected as one of Richmond's '30 under 30' in 2013.
