Zulu Panda is the indie-rock solo project of Vancouver singer-songwriter Wesley David Scott. His music combines elements of heartland rock with grunge while maintaining a pop sensibility. His dynamic sound is matched nicely with warm vocal melodies and dylanesque storytelling in lyrics. This past year, he released his first full-length album entitled 'Hope All Abandoned,' was named semi-finalist in the international 'Song of the Year' songwriting contest and graduated with top marks from Langara College's Singer-Songwriter Certificate Program. He is currently working on a new album expected to be released early in 2015. [www.zulupanda.com]
Elias James Edlund grew up in the prairies, where his musical education began in the backseat of his family's minivan; music was a constant backdrop for road trips between Calgary and his hometown of Saskatoon. During his first stint at university, he played guitar more than he studied; read more tablature than textbooks. He soon switched gears to study music at Grant McEwan University. Stops in Edmonton bands such as The Sky Life and Paperplanes & Dragonboats were some of his first forays into original music and since, he has drawn from his experience living across Western Canada to carefully craft his own songs that encapsulate his life experience. Having studied with some Canada's best songwriters and musicians, he's amassed a wealth of knowledge and skill that shines through a pop-oriented lens to create introspective, heartfelt music. Elias' new album, "Portrait of a Young Man" will be released in early 2015. [www.eliforshort.com]
Audrey Rose is a singer-songwriter from Squamish BC. Originally from the Philippines. Audrey moved to Canada to pursue her dreams to get her unique sound out; modern jazz with a hint of ballad. Aside from being a performing and recording artist, producing and working with talented artists also fill up her plate. She is under Powerhouse/ Element East Music Management and is currently working on her debut single, "Hurricane", which will be released this year.
