Emerging from his own distinct corner of the West Coast electronic music scene, Random Rab offers a powerful and unique contribution to sonic exploration. Often referred to as “The Master of Emotion” his music is patently beautiful and melodic. With diverse influences ranging from trip--‐ hop, classical and Arabic to bass driven compositions, his songs are considered anthemic and timeless. As a multiinstrumentalist and singer, his tracks are organic, uplifting and stand on their own as a distinct genre. Listeners of all types of music can find something they can relate to in his sound.

The mad--‐musical scientist known as SaQi is a trumpet wielding maestro and a sonic samurai of soul. Utilizing acoustic and synthesized sounds of all sorts, SaQi creates intoxicating concoctions of groove that rock the party while still maintaining a grace and musical sophistication to engage the listener. Striking the delicate balance between darkness and light, major and minor, fast and slow, joy and sorrow is his specialty.
Drawing his name from the Sufi title for a mystic muse or “one who fills the peoples bowls”, SaQi weaves aural tapestries from the furthest reaches of the musical universe to create eclectic selections that defy genre classification. American blues, Latin Soul, European House and Techno, African Roots music, Asian folk, Hip Hop, Electro, Disco, Dub, Jazz and Downtempo are just a few of genres that can be found in his sound.
SaQi has performed, collaborated and toured with a wide range of progressive artists including March Fourth Marching Band, Beats Antique, Emancipator, The Polish Ambassador, Bluetech, Russ Liquid, edIT, Rising Appalachia, The Human Experience and The Everyone Orchestra. The music has carried the project to Europe, Central America, Mexico, India, Canada and all across the 50 states. You can often find saQi performing at premier festivals such as Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis, Envision (Costa Rica), Burning Man and beyond.....
