Event Description
Singer-songwriter Pegi Young has said, "I'm just trying to tell some stories and make music that I can get behind."
Pegi will be touring in support of her upcoming record due out this fall on New West Records. She will once again be accompanied by her acclaimed recording and touring band, The Survivors: legendary keyboard player Spooner Oldham on piano, bassist Rick Rosas, guitarist Kelvin Holly, and drummer Phil Jones.
Pegi first became known through her longtime role as backup singer - onstage and on record - for Neil Young. She debuted as a solo artist with a self-titled 2007 album which was described by Allmusic.com as “an intimate, hopeful and melancholy look at life and love from a songwriter who has been there.”
Pegi Young & The Survivors have appeared on numerous TV shows including Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Conan O'Brien. Pegi has toured with a number of artists such as Willie Nelson, Stephen Stills, Neil Young and Dwight Yoakum.
Pegi and Neil founded the non-profit Bridge School in 1986, serving children with severe speech and physical impairments. The Young's are also the driving force behind the annual all-star Bridge School Benefit concerts.
