Mike Edel - Victoria, BC

In Alberta, on the plains North of Calgary there is still a collection of simple and hardworking people. The short wheat-lined hilltops cast shadows in round silhouettes - just tall enough to obstruct the jagged lines of the Rocky Mountains, one hundred miles East over a landscape worn deep by human hands and long winters. Although Mike Edel has since moved to the quiet seaside community of Victoria, British Columbia these people and places are deeply imbedded in his personality and work. Themes of family and virtue, relationship and tradition and the quiet contemplation of times past saturate his work. They are themes that represent the very nature of human introspection universally human, and, as Edel has proven time and again, something his burgeoning audience can't get enough of.
On the eve of 2014 Edel went into hiding, delivering a new catalogue of songs to Grammy and Juno winning producers Joby Baker, and Colin Stewart constructing his Sophomore release in Victoria. It's a follow-up, Edel promises, to be his best to date.

Kiana Brasset
www.facebook.com/music.kianabrasset
On both the rails and the road, Kiana Brasset has seen much of Canada in the in the past year. Consistently playing violin supporting the likes of Mike Edel, JP Maurice, Chris Ho and Acres of Lions to name a few, it has taken very little time for 20 year old Kiana Brasset to evolve into a musician, performer and songwriter.
After graduating high-school, dropping out of a formal music program, and touring North America with other bands, Brasset quietly penned a myriad of songs which have evolved into an original project. There is no other way but to simply watch the rocky mountains as they go by out the window on a train, and there is no way to but to see Brasset as a true performer.
While Brasset has been involved in The Peak Performance Project (2012), The David Foster Foundation Gala, CBC and Via Rail's Tracks on Tracks supporting other artists, she finished in the top 10 of Much Music's Cover Contest (2011). Time is delicate yet moves quickly for the young songwriter. Her first EP is due out in Fall 2014.

Noah Edwards

Vancouver Island born, Victoria based artist Noah Edwards is not your standard singer/songwriter. Blending high-energy rock and roll with elements of folk, post-rock soundscapes and intricate jazz melodies, he looks to bring a new energy to West Coast inspired Folk music. The songs take you from gentle seaside ballads to anthemic rock songs about growth and renewal. He hopes to continue spreading his high energy stage performance, and powerful emotionally driven music to a wider audience.
