Petunia is releasing a new album. The statement itself will stir anyone who's familiar with the man into a frenzy, and anyone who isn't, won't stay at a distance once they get a taste. Simply a modern musical enigma, Petunia's rich high & lonesome vocals, ferocious screams, perfect pitch, and extraordinary cast of musicians, (including his band The Vipers) captivates an audience like no other can. The new release, Inside Of You is a collection of Petunia originals with The Vipers and several other renowned players filling in the sound. Recorded in three feverish nights in Vancouver, Inside of You was mixed by Steve Loree and Petunia, produced by Petunia and Phil Sgriccia, and will be available on vinyl, CD and via download on May 24th, 2014.

Inside of You is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2012 self-titled Petunia & The Vipers debut. While keeping in true Petunia form with western swing, rockabilly and a punk twist, Inside of You delves further into the darkness than it's predecessor, pulling European flavours and gritty rock out from the corners of inspiration. Every song could be a soundtrack, from the first song "Runaway Freight Train Heart"; which busts into the recording exactly as it's title describes, to the contemplative acoustics of title track "Inside of You" and the shadowy beauty of "Lucille". "The One Thing" is a straight up rock n' roll hit, and "Primitive Love" kicks out a rockabilly march, while "The Bicycle Song" and "Holy Budge Winters" tell stories in a whimsical style; as if resounding from a player piano or music box. The entire collection of twelve tracks plus one bonus, flows with a unified force while dabbling in the outer regions of the country swing and rockabilly genres. Inside of You was recorded with contributions from The Vipers (Stephen Nikleva - guitar, Jimmy Roy - lap steel, Patrick Metzger- bass, Paul Townsend - drums) as well as some of Vancouver's heavy hitters; Paul Rigby - guitar, Paul Pigat - guitar, Lache Cercel - violin, Kathleen Nisbet - violin, JP Carter - horns, and Frank Fairfield - guitar/banjo/violin.
