"Houston-based Hanly Banks’ experimental documentary captures the underground creativity of 46-year-old Bill Callahan on tour in support of 2011's Apocalypse. His lo-fi sound filled with twang and reverb offers a noirish take on Americana. Her film of Callahan and his band (guitarist Matt Kinsey and drummer Neal Morgan) neatly stitches together different performances with scenes from the road.
