Event Description
Christmas past, present and future: A screening for all ages!
Christmas, whether you are young, old or somewhere in between, is a special time of year. It inspires goodwill towards others, brings families together and creates memories to span generations. In celebration of this festive season, join the Victoria Film Festival for a signature screening of A Christmas Carol on Saturday December 15th, 2012 at 2:30PM. Doors open at 1:00 PM and guests of all ages are invited to tell Santa all their Christmas wishes and have their picture taken with our special guest. Enjoy popcorn, hot chocolate and egg nog before the matinee gets underway!
It just wouldn't be Christmas without this classic tale of greed, ghosts and the true meaning of the season. A Christmas Carol follows the life of Charles Dickens' sad and miserable London tycoon, Ebenezer Scrooge (Alastair Sim). Despite his wealth, he abuses his sole employee Bob Cratchit, treating him like a servant. BAH HUMBUG! But the tides soon turn on Christmas Eve when Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who transform his life and those around him completely.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
