STEM's dynamic sound consists of Guitar, Bass, Drums, Rhodes Piano, Electric Keys and Vocals. Each members' distinct back round thrives in this medium empowering their sound. Stem's well-defined music can range from jambient-spacey, moody and dark, flowing with low end grooves and from time to time experimenting with Eastern influences.
PANURGE utilizes a wide variety of instrumentation on their new album Throw Down the Reins (2004), from analog synthesizers to wooden vibes, acoustic guitars and vintage drum machines. While the album is largely driven by this spirit of experimentation, the music strives to be very accessible. Regardless of how they are dressed, these are definitely pop songs—full of hooks and harmonies, big beats and jangling guitars.
