Come out to a stellar benefit concert to help raise money to keep Co-op Radio's RADIO BANDCOUVER on the air! Featuring headliner BOCEPHUS KING in his first Railway Club appearance in years joined by local dynamos The WALK-INS & JOYCE ISLAND (accompanied by special guest MATTHEW MEI), Friday, December 7th at The Railway Club, this is an event that will have you dancing for a great cause!

BOCEPHUS KING is an enigmatic Vancouver native who effortlessly skirts between blues, alt country, traditional songwriting and modern aesthetics. His eclectic mélange integrates a soulful street carnival blues, moments that possess the glissando of a Michel Gondry dream sequence, the rustic appeal of a border town roots rock, and hints of Eastern mysticism as he takes you on an evocative trip down strange memory lane, pouring out his heart like a bottle. http://www.bocephusking.ca

The WALK-INS - Featuring members of The Unknown Soldiers, Top Drawers & Captain Dust, The Walk-ins have conspired together to create a new musical concoction that seems strangely familiar yet somehow alien. Some say it's blues, some say it's rock or even urban folk... perhaps it's all three mixed together in a musical blender and seasoned with a dash of grit and grind and a hint of grunge. So sit back and let the Walk-Ins fill your body and soul with the eternal sounds of their musical madness. http://www.reverbnation.com/thewalkins

JOYCE ISLAND - Lisa Joyce's stripped down approach has its roots in her love of beat poetry, mod music & fashion, old school country crooners, kick-ass rhythm & blues, psychedelic rock, and all things East Van! Mixed with her love of vintage guitars, red wine, kitty cats, Morocco, India & pretty dresses, her style approaches an emotionally charged, uniquely-vibed style that she can call her own. http://www.joyceisland.ca
