Bio:
Mexican-American Jazz Vocalist, Anna (Acevedo) Lyman (B.Mus. Jazz Voice, minor-guitar), was born in Detroit (Motown!) and her special mix of Jazz and Latin music is unique. An interesting feature of her music is that her lyrics contain both English and Spanish versions in the same song. Anna often uses Blues progressions and Bluenotes in her Salsa, Bossa and Bolero tunes, creating a unique flavor of her own.


Her voice was described as 'Melted chocolate' by the Harbour City Star. Jazz Review said "Anna Lyman is a genuine jazz singer". Anna has appeared at Expo, the Victoria Jazz Festival, Pender Harbour Jazzfest, VIJB.ca, on CBC Radio North by Northwest, CBC Hot Air and more!
