MIKE GANO
Having been relocated from San Francisco, Gano is now one of the fastest growing names in the BC dance music scene. Not that his name is getting longer, but with a flurry of big performances, has come a surge of loyal Booty Shakers and Disciples to his sound. And while Ganos' sound itself draws on a decade of experience, exploring underground scenes across North America, in just the past year his name has appeared alongside such international talent as Deep Dish, Gaudi, Terry Francis, and Kenny Glasgow. Also, Gano now joins some of our most passionate, dedicated local artists as the newest member of Sunset Collaborations. Catch him dancing behind the decks and Laying the Wobblin' Bass on Thick at a dance floor near you!
THOM BANKS
Thom Banks has been a staple in the dance music community in the City of Gardens since the late 90's. His blend of House music ranges from Jackin' House to Minimal Tech Funk to Deep Techno House to straight-up House music. Thom has earned himself many residencies over the years and has been invited to play at the best festivals, parties and nightclubs, including numerous Lotus Long Weekends @ the Lotus Sound Lounge in Vancouver, Full Moon Parties in Thailand, slick beach clubs in Mexico, and of course, Soundwave, West Coast Canada's fabled 3-day electronic music festival. His Tight Mixing, Unparalleled Track Selection and Keen Ability in Interpreting his Crowd on the dance floor has allowed him to play alongside names such as Mathew Jonson, Dave Seaman, Mark Farina, Lawnchair Generals, The Mole, Bassnectar, and Dirt Crew, just to name a few. Often considered a DJ's favourite DJ, Thom Banks can Lay Down Beats that are Subtle and Smooth or Thick and Chunky - either way, his selection and mixing always breaks new ground.
NATTY
Born in Victoria BC Canada, Natty Has been Playing Records since he was In The Womb. Raised on Classic Rock and Reggae by his hippie parents, he’s been dropping the needle on the wax for 30 years. In the last decade of his DJ career he has performed at many of the City of Garden’s integral events and brought some quality acts to his hometown including: Halo Varga and Andy Caldwell. A part of the Renegade Stage at the famed Soundwave Music Festival you can catch his sets at a number of outdoor festivals during the summer months (Carrington, Diversity) . Recently taking on stage management and DJ bookings for the Kulth Music Festival in Coombs BC. His first major gig was in 2004 in Miami at the WMC for Music2 production’s showcase party where he opened for Miguel Migs, Jay-J, Fred Everything, Lisa Shaw, Metro Area, Fort Knox Five and Solomonic Sound. Other notable gigs include shared billings with, Dirt Crew (James Flavour, Break 3000) Lopazz, Tyler Stadius, Mathew Johnson, Hrdvsion,Mathew Herbert,Dj Poontz, Mike Shannon, J. Hunsberger, K-tel, Honey Dijon, Jay Tripwire, Lori the Hi-Fi Princess, Gaudi, Ganga Giri, Hipp-E,Rob Paine, Thugfucker, Alex Smoke, Frivolous, NOZE, The Mole, Deadbeat and Vincent Lemieux. The Goal being to take you on a Musical Journey through many Styles of Tastefully Selected Dance Music. The result? An Epic Audio Experience for all who Partake! You can look forward to many exciting things from Natty in the years to come.
MOSES
Born in the great land of Egypt and growing up in South Africa, Moses has been Influenced by Many Cultures. He first laid his hands on the wheels of steel in 2001 and quickly earned a Reputation for his Fun Vibes and Solid Mixing Skills. Moses nurtured his love for electronic music through the 90’s and honed his craft by playing everywhere from The frozen north of Whitehorse, Yukon to Kingston, Ontario over the past 10 years, amassing an arsenal of amazing audio; House, Breaks, Hip-Hop, and Drum n' Bass, Moses has played for the masses all across Canada. Expect a fun feel good set with emphasis on Slammin’ Bass Lines with Sexy Rhythms, and Sweet Vocals with Thick Melodies… beats to get you on the dance floor!
