Event Description
Irena Perkovic's new solo pop/jazz project, REENIE, marks a re-genesis as a Canadian artist: it flays open the heart of her songs to expose their core feelings. From high-energy grooves to intimate ballads, songs from her upcoming record, The Real World, (currently being recorded in Victoria, BC by New York-based producer Charlie van Kirk) will be featured before the CD release in February 2012. Featuring Alexander Ferguson, keys and vocals, Alfons Fear, trumpet, Steven Taddei, bass, Rob Phillips, percussion.
Inspired by the lyricism of Ingrid Michaelson and Regina Spektor, Victoria songstress Chelsea-Lyne Heins will be opening with her unique blend of R&B and pop, with sultry vocals and smooth, danceable arrangements. Selections from her debut album, Volume II, will be featured. With Chris Ho, bass, and Rob Phillips, percussion.
