The Invisible Orange http://www.theinvisibleorange.com presents Swedish black metal marauders DARK FUNERAL http://www.darkfuneral.se February 15 at the Rickshaw Theatre.

Stockholm-based DARK FUNERAL brings to the stage their own breed of unadulterated, hellish black metal. Their music is describable in four words: fast, blasphemous and very fast. The melodies are very extensive and complex. Despite recent lineup changes, Dark Funeral is continuing to add to its lengthy discography and touring South and North America in 2011/2012.

With guests:

BELPHEGOR http://www.belphegor.at

BELPHEGOR have risen to icon status when it comes to supreme death / black metal art. Ever since their now legendary debut “The Last Supper” in 1995 mainman Helmuth and his henchmen have continuously worked all their way to the top with technical skill, sophisticated songwriting and highly blasphemous lyrics. After releasing “Walpurgis Rites – Hexenwahn” in 2009, BELPHEGOR are now back with their fourth masterpiece for Nuclear Blast Records: enter “Blood Magick Necromance”, an opus filled to the brim with dark and sinful anthems showing a band clearly at its career peak. The eight new compositions are simply the most brutal, elegant, epic and gripping material we`ve heard from BELPHEGOR so far.

ABIGAIL WILLIAMS http://www.myspace.com/abigailwilliams

Formed in 2005, symphonic black metalers Abigail Williams have been called "a buzz band," and "a band to watch." The band's 2006 Legend EP and 2008 debut, "In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns" (produced by James Murphy and featuring Emperor’s drummer Trym Torson) have now sold a combined 35,000 in the US. The band has toured exhaustively including their most recent West Coast headlining dates. "In the Absence of Light" was released last year on Candlelight Records.

GIGAN http://www.myspace.com/giganmusic

GIGAN has been challenging the mortal laws of extreme music and creativity since early 2006. Forged around the simple notion that the imagination should be art's only limit, GIGAN's style of creative delivery has simultaneously invoked reactions of amazement, disbelief, shock, awe and ultimately- respect. GIGAN has toured and shared the stage with Cattle Decapitation, Vital Remains, Misery Index, Psyopus, Lightning Swords of Death, Valdur, Book of Black Earth, SWWAATS, Threat Signal, Lecherous Nocturne, The Destro, Bleed The Sky, Enfold Darkness, Intronaut, Mouth of the Architect, Minsk, Zoroaster, Goatwhore and more. GIGAN is now touring in support of their 2011 release, "Quasi-Hallucinogenic Sonic Landscapes."
