Johnny and the Moon

The name was based on a local folk tale about a boy named Johnny, a mountain, a satanic cult, and the moon. They recorded the record themselves in one week at deadwood studio in the old barn before Dante was off again to Montreal on tour with Wolf Parade. Johnny and the Moon play a cluttered, messy, folk music that picks up whatever it can find and plays a song with it. Their live shows reflect this wild diversity in that they’re almost always different than the last one. The musical arrangements and lyrics however, always seem to come back to their pastoral home and birthplace, exploring the narratives and mystery of traditional folk.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
