Event Description
The Vancouver Police Museum presents:
The Bootleggers Ball
A Prohibition-themed fundraiser celebrating the Police Museum's 25th Anniversary In celebration of our 25th anniversary as Vancouver's most arresting experience, we invite you to attend the Bootleggers' Ball, our Prohibition-themed fundraiser inspired by our ever-popular "Sins of the City" walking tours.
Put on your best pinstriped suit or flapper dress and join us at the Biltmore Cabaret on April 8, 2011 for an evening of music, Vaudeville, burlesque and perhaps even a little bathtub gin.
Please note: this is not a sit-down affair--this is the Biltmore for gosh-sakes! If you want a table, we have a few booths available for sponsors (contact us to find out more) and there are some cocktail tables available for those that arrive early.
The evening's entertainment includes:
The Creaking Planks, The Vaudevillians,
as well as the unique talents of Lola Frost, Darla DeVine and Lacey L'Amour
Also, thanks to the generous contributions of our many of our community friends, including Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, 2 Chefs and a Table, Big Lou’s Butcher Shop, Les Faux Bourgeois, The Vancouver Aquarium, Harbour Cruises, Grouse Mountain, Pandora Jewelery, Tour Guys, Trialto Wines, Axiom Salon, Bard on the Beach, Granville Island Beer, The Pourhouse and Sean Heather Restaurant Group, you'll find some amazing items in our Silent Auction and we'll also be handing out awards for the best dressed.
All proceeds go to support the Vancouver Police Museum and its efforts to collect, preserve and share the history of lawlessness and law enforcement in Vancouver.
Doors at 7:00pm
Tickets $40.00 in advance
