Event Description
Eugene Ripper: Former guitarist for Stark Naked and Fleshtones (who, btw will be reuniting at the 2010 NXNE festival) and trailblazing punk folk rocker is back with a new album "Punks and Pushers..." First 50 folks will get a free copy of the album with price of admission (not bad!)
Ripper will be backed up by a full band: Fine musicians all and some authentic rock and roll souls to be sure: Rod Bruno (guitar) Shane Wilson (drums), Aaron Chapman (mandolin) and Mike MacKay (bass) plus a bit of the solo stuff that is sure to entertain. http://www.eugeneripper.com/
Clare Love: Clare continues to call Vancouver home as she continues to develop her seductive avant garde rock muse. Her considerable creative talents come via Toronto and The Yukon with some key pit stops in San Diego and NYC - where she recorded her last album of work http://www.myspace.com/clarelovemusic
Carmen Country: Carmen White has pipes that can put a plumber out of business and will lay em down wrapped up in an edgy alt country set backed by Ripper and Bruno - reviving the hypnotizing sounds and sights of Carmen Country.
Lizard Jamboree: Rounding out the evening will be a late night appearance by an unpredictable outfit of punk rock folkers who will be sure to kick out the proverbial marmalade with some foot stompin favorites. If they don't explode with anticipation they threaten to land somewhere between John Prine and the Ramones - Cheers!
