Pianist George Essihos and students explore the links between jazz and classical repertoire. In the tradition of many classical pieces, jazz works from a theme, then moves into improvisation before returning to the theme.

The concert includes performances by Alex Denis, Rui Penfornis and Michael Baker. Violinist Spring Burke accompanies Michael Baker on one of his original compositions.

Tickets: $10 in advance/ $12 at the door.

Available at the Victoria Conservatory of Music and at the door.

Proceeds benefit the Music Therapy Department of the Victoria Conservatory of Music.
