The story of a gaming addict trapped inside VR is reminiscent of The Matrix, with the solo actor passing through an entire spectrum of emotions as he jumps between 30 distinct characters, all the while expertly delivering his lines in varying accents and personas.
Pitting technology against emotion and isolation, Virtual Solitaire is a whirlwind of character sketches, technological lingo and complex, intertwined storylines that requires thought and attention from the audience. Ending in a raw, poignant scene where gamer and scientists come to realize their mistake, Boquist jolts you back to reality leaving you in awe of his incredible role-shifting talent
