Event Description

George Jones first hit the charts in the 1950s. In April 1999, he celebrated the 40th anniversary of his number 1 record, the rockabilly-flavoured "White Lightning." Through the decades, George Jones has transcended country music trends. Whether the times have favoured honkey tonk songs, or lushly produced and orchestrated "pop" offerings, George Jones has continued to make his own brand of country music which has produced hits for the last six decades.
