FUZZCAT - Vancouver's funk-filled reggae rock attack, Fuzzcat has been exploding Western Canadian dance floors since 2006. Assembling like the five lions of Voltron, Fuzzcat unified into a tight music-making machine, delivering thick beats and ass-shakin' rawk. Their charismatic, high-energy performances have drawn comparisons to bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sublime, but their diverse influences range from hip-hop to punk.Danceable rhythms, infectious lyrics and provocative musical arrangements have earned them a growing reputation as one of the West Coast's most exciting emerging bands. http://www.myspace.com/fuzzcatmusic
The SKATOMATICS - Selling out local Vancouver venues on a regular basis, The Skatomatics will draw you irresistibly to your feet with their blend of 4/4 time and a brass section. Featuring former members of Edmonton's Mad Bomber Society and Halifax ska pioneers Dr. Skankworthy, The Skatomatics bonded over their shared love for bands like The Police, Sublime, The Clash and King Apparatus. http://www.skatomatics.com
MEXICAN DRUG PATROL - Formerly known as The HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS, Mexican Drug Patrol brings blazing electric desert surf rock to the clubs of Vancouver. The guitars of James Elwood and Ben Fussell do the talking, backed up by Tony Dallas on drums and the recent addition of Dave Wise of Fuzzcat on bass. The band is hard at work recording their first album, which will be stuffed to the gills with original instrumental rock tunes. http://www.myspace.com/mexicandrugpatrol
PUNCH CHARMING - Formed in mid-September of 2007, Punch Charming is what happens when God decides to wrap kittens in rainbows and light up. Combining ragged funk/ska/rockabilly grooves, Punch Charming puts on an electric live show. http://www.myspace.com/punchcharming
