. Saturday, April 5th I.M.U. presents CROP CIRCLE CD Release Party w/ special guests SPLITTING ADAM, PEDWELL & SKOOKUM @ The Media Club, 695 Cambie . Doors 8pm, $10 Advance - Purchase advance tickets online @ http://www.imuproductions.com
CROP CIRCLE - Having played alongside bands such as ZZ Top, Cheap Trick, 54-40, Bif Naked, Todd Kerns, The Black Halos, Wide Mouth Mason & Swollen Members, and handpicked to be part of Budweiser's True Music program, Crop Circle's melodic rhythms incorporate a garage band sound with early alternative rock. Their heavy guitar driven rock hit the top 5 on CFOX, earned the band a spot on the 2002 CFOX Seeds CD and became the #1 most requested song at Kelowna's Power 104! Be sure to come out this evening to sample tasty new tunes from their upcoming CD "Come Inside", produced by Todd Kerns! "Sean McCormick is the best singer I've recorded yet... a f#!*ing powerhouse!!!" - Todd Kerns
SPLITTING ADAM - Splitting Adam is a dynamic local band who combine expressive, intelligent, layered songwriting with a fresh, British-inspired direction, evoking favourable comparisons to U2 and The Killers. Their music balances commanding grooves, lush textures and contagious, distinctive melodies, demonstrating maturity and progressive growth. With countless live performances, successful indie CD releases, radio support and songs licensed to NBC, the band is poised to break through in a big way.
PEDWELL - Brad Pedwell is a charismatic Vancouver-based singer/songwriter/guitarist who's been making an impact on the industry since 2002. His growing fanbase has seen him mature as a performer while not losing touch with his heart. With a fistful of emotions clutched in his hands, Pedwell engages listeners with an outstretched passion that is raw, vulnerable and satisfying.
SKOOKUM - An enormous behemoth of rawk with a thunderous bottom end, driving beats and infectious rhythms. SKOOKUM consists of four guys who like to play infectious riff heavy rock and take and to heavy fits of laughter, nocturnal musings and doses of a strange forest tea brewed from alderberries and rootmarmum.
