Event Description
Elektra’s Voice (April 19, 2008 at Ryerson United Church, 7:30 pm) features the seamless sound that has come to characterize Elektra, singing repertoire from around the world and from every age. This concert will feature the world premiere of Beneath Her Heart by Rita Costanzi, the long-time Vancouver harpist now resident in New York. Also included are works by Javier Busto, György Orbán, and Sergei Rachmaninoff alongside compositions by Australian composer David Hamilton, and American composer Eric Whitacre, to name just a few. Fabulous repertoire performed with Elektra’s trademark golden sound – Elektra’s Voice is sure to uplift you and put a song in your heart.
