Musica Victoria welcomes back the Vogler Quartet who gave a magnificent performance for them in the 2001-2002 season.
The programme includes the following:
Mendelssohn: String Quartet, Op. 44, No. 2
Bart�k: String Quartet, No. 2, Op. 17
Schumann: Piano Quintet, Op. 44
Formed in Berlin in 1985, the Vogler Quartet now pursue an international schedule that includes all the major musical centers of Europe, as well as venues in North America, Japan, Israel, Australia and New Zealand. The quartet was recently designated quartet in residence in County Sligo, Ireland.

Hailed by critics for her remarkable technique, tonal beauty and musicianship, Angela Cheng is one of Canada�s most gifted pianists. She has appeared as a soloist with virtually every major orchestra in Canada and many in the United States. She is also an enthusiastic recitalist and has collaborated with numerous chamber ensembles, including the Vogler Quartet.
