Event Description
Big things are in store for Klaxons. Based on early singles like “Gravity’s Rainbow”, “Atlantis to Interzone”, and “Magick” (which reached #29 in the U.K. top 40), the London band has already amassed a large underground following, selling out tours in Europe, Japan, and Australia, and the U.K. At last summer’s Reading and Leeds festivals, so many eager fans showed up that many had to stand outside the packed tents where Klaxons played.
The group has just released its debut album, Myths of the Near Future, which entered the U.K. chart at #2. Drawing on influences from both art-rock acts and rave culture, as well as authors such as William S. Burroughs and Thomas Pynchon, the band is credited as spearheading the “new rave” movement. Klaxons have been described as “acid-rave sci-fi punk-funk,” and refer to their sound as “psychedelic/progressive/pop”.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
