Event Description

A concert featuring the music of Brazil for guitars and choir - a unique concept with dazzling results - especially when it features a renowned Brazilian guitar duo and a celebrated Vancouver choral group.

Considered one of the world's most popular and virtuosic guitar duos, brothers Sérgio and Odair Assad have performed worldwide with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and Paquito D'Rivera.

Joining the Assad brothers for a program of contemporary Brazilian classical music are the glorious voices of the Vancouver Cantata Singers, one of the most popular local choirs for more than forty years.

This concert will also feature a world première by Sérgio Assad, commissioned by the Vancouver Cantata Singers, this performance is sure to be a captivating musical delight.
