Angelo Manzotti, winner of the 1992 Luciano Pavarotti Prize, and David Rogers, lutenist in residence at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, explore the last, emotionally charged compositions written by and for castrati. The concert features works from the late 18th century by castrati / composers Cresentini, Millico, Pacini, Portogallo and Sor.
"Manzottis elegant, emotional technique is awesome. The perfect synthesis of the male and female principles."
