Perhaps best known for its epic ballad “Boston,” Augustana has been winning fans all over North America with its contemplative, melodic sound. Touring in support of its epic debut All the Stars and Boulevards since its summer of 2005 release, the band has played with acts such as Switchfoot, The Fray, Counting Crows, Snow Patrol, The Damnwells, and Goo Goo Dolls. They are also renowned for their headlining shows which have seen them play to sold out club audiences nationwide. Produced by Brendan O'Brien, who has worked with Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Stone Temple Pilots, and Neil Young, among many others, All the Stars and Boulevards reached #20 on Billboards’s Heatseekers chart.
Augustana's contemplative, melodic sound is characterized by numerous piano lines and the powerfully expressive vocals frontman Dan Layus. All the Stars and Boulevards is a reflective, wistful, cerebral, and somewhat melancholy rock record that delivers tales of frustration and heartbreak infused with hope.
